Meet Dr. Koch

Jacob E. Koch, DDS, PC

“My wife says the first thing she noticed about me was my smile – *that* sold me on the power of braces!”  Dr. Jacob Koch (“Coke”) has a treatment philosophy that includes not only the health of his patients’ teeth and jaws, but also the life changing confidence that an attractive smile can give.

Dr. Koch earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland at Baltimore.  After his dental training, he completed an additional two years in specialized orthodontics training at Louisiana State University.  He is passionate about giving every patient the best care possible, and as a result is constantly attending seminars, reading scientific journals, and visiting leading orthodontists’ practices in order to stay on the cutting edge of orthodontic treatment.

Some of his academic awards and achievements include:

  • The American Dental Association Foundation Scholarship for outstanding achievement
  • The Rappaport Memorial Award for scientific achievement
  • The Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society Scholarship in Dentistry
  • Teacher of the Year at Kaplan Test Preparation
  • Student Body Vice President: University of Maryland Dental School
  • Class Vice President: University of Maryland Dental School

Dr. Koch grew up out west, but he and his family have fallen in love with Georgia and are proud to call it home.  He has been married to his wife Shelley for 11 years, and has three energetic children: Evan, Skylar, and Shea.  He enjoys being involved in his son’s Cub Scout and basketball activities.

When he isn’t busy creating straight smiles or running after his little ones, Dr. Koch enjoys reading, exercising, and going camping with his family.
